Front Panels
CP-A
Front panels are also referred to as operator consoles.
They are responsible for allowing manual entry of programs into memory, running and stopping program execution, and stepping through machine cycles.
They are also responsible for the appearance of the system.
The traditional front panels contain the graphics panels, LED indicators, and paddle switches.
Most have a display-only version that only has a power and reset switch.
These are intended for cost-sensitive application where the aesthetics of the graphics and indicator lights are desired,
but the manual controls provided by the paddle switches is not necessary.
